Confession: there is a crucifix on my Amazon wishlist, and every time I notice it, I think, “I should get that before it’s too late and there are vampires.”
Partly, I wish I still had my dad’s pewter cross, from his Catholic phase. I don’t even remember what happened to it.
Also: I just finished re-reading Salem’s Lot! 😛 And the short story “One for the Road” that takes place in a snowstorm. *Looks outside*  Hunh. I bet that Hispanic herbs and spiritual store nearby has something, if I could manage to visit without feeling like an idiot. ^_^
You know, play the odds. It costs little to have one on hand, but lots to be without one in case of vampires!
(As a kid, maybe 6th grade, I read Salem’s Lot and made a popsicle stick cross and kept it under my pillow. It was the first book to scare me.)
Somehow, I’ve never written a story about vampires. …Have I? No wait, I totally have. In the queue are TWO. My memory before coffee, man. Sheesh.
